The African Rock Python is Africa’s largest snake. This snake is a non-venomous constrictor, able to kill large prey, including humans, using its sharp teeth and powerful grip.
This snake, which can be found throughout South Africa, has established a small population in a small area located in Miɑmi.
Another species of python, the Burmese python, has already expanded its range throughout Florida beyond any hope of eradication.
But the population of the African python is much smaller.
Sightings of northern African pythons were first observed in 2001, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
It all started in the 1990s, when more than 10,000 non-native pythons, mostly two-handed pythons, were imported into the United States as part of the exotic pet trade.
It is not clear whether the North African tribes have been able to reproduce and expand their population as their African tribes have done.
The current population is likely limited to a 6 square mile area in Miami.
Like bιɾмanas, rock pythons have a small, black and dark pattern resembling that of a jiɾafa.
If these two species meet and begin to disappear, it could lead to something terrifying: a new “super snake” devouring people.
The hybrid species could be even bigger and meaner than either of its parents. That’s because of a phenomenon known as hybrid vigor, which can enhance genetic traits received from the parents.
Absolutely, it doesn’t seem like these two huge snakes have crossed paths yet.
The goose population is still relatively small, but if they start reproducing en masse, it could mean serious problems.
