A two-headed snake named Ben and Jerry has devoured two mice using both mouths at the same time.

Each of the mutated snake’s heads is a rodent – many of which were already dead – and has a feast.

Reptile expert Brian Barczyk filmed the creature in Michigan, USA, and shared the footage on his Instagram account.

The two-headed reptile is the result of Ƅicephaly, which is caused by the incomplete division of an embryo.

The snake enthusiast said: “So my two-headed snake, Ben and Jerry, aren’t eating anything right now.

“Actually, they don’t always eat at the same time, in this case, they both eat from each side.”

He went on to state that 99 percent of two-headed animals do not make it to their first 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day.

But Barczyk now expects the snake, named after the popular ice cream company, to live up to 25 years.

In the video, the brown and yellow animal is seen swallowing the 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 ice slowly.

He only has one digestive system and some concerned viewers asked if he would choke on the double helping of food.

They were filmed eating two ice cubes at the same time.

One commented: “If you look at his ʋlog, he mentions one of them, I think Jerry, he won’t eat unless Ben is already eating and for the most part, Ben eats all the time, but he also tried to get Jerry involved.”

Another wrote: “That’s crazy! I can’t wait to come back and see the place!”

A third asked: “Some kind of question: how can a snake come out with two heads… how does this mutation happen?”

Brian, who also works at The Reptariuм reptile zoo in Michigan, said: “A friend produced them. It is a phenomenon of nature and totally unexpected.

He ate badly, but the snake only has one digestive system.

“We have about 10 unique animals [at the Reptariu], including Ben and Jerry, also a two-headed turtle, and several one-of-a-kind color mutations.”

It comes after a cat owner called the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for help when her pet brought a two-headed snake into the house.

A spokesperson for the FWCC confirmed the snake was a starvation snake and said: “This phenomenon, called Ƅicephaly, is rare, but it happens during embryo development when two monozygotic twins fail to separate, leaving their heads joined together. alone Ƅody.”
