Salvador Dal is the master of detopian landscapes, capable of conjuring worlds made with little more than paint and a canvas. Well, young artists now have a special instrument to experiment with surrealism, and that tool is Photoshop. One such artist is Polish-born Mıke, who uses his decade of experience with editing software to produce stunning originals.
His works combine images of natural landscapes with images of various genres, among which Gothic stands out. In an interview, he said that his process begins with the setting: “I’m looking for the best example of a mountain landscape, then I define the working atmosphere and choose photos taken in a similar climate. “Take a look at all the different permutations and combinations of these images and choose the one you like best.”
The artist claims to have taught himself his craft and draws inspiration from earlier surrealist works while striving to maintain his own unique style. “Just don’t look at other people; create what we have in our hearts; each heart beats with its own rhythm; and that is what makes us unique.”
